Traditional Thai Massage

Thai massage is famous the world over and dates back over 2500 years. It is excellent for relaxation and relief of stress, and helps in the curing over 50 common ailments. Among them are muscle pain and sprain, tennis elbow, stiff neck, lower back pain, cramp, stiffness, headache and nervous tension. You lie on a bed or the floor, and a deep massage is given, which includes stretching of the limbs. The massage is performed on the legs, arms, back, feet, hands and neck. Please note that whilst traditional massage is very good for you health wise, there is some pain involved. However, if this is a problem, you can opt for the oil massage instead (see below) which is more soothing and does not involve pain.

As part of the Thai massage we also make use of the herbal ball (shown below). Its helps to soothe aches and pains and increase blood circulation. It contains dried lemongrass, tumeric, Thai ginger, camphor, tamarind and menthol...

Please note that whilst Thai massage can act as an aid to physical ailments such as those listed above, it should not be used in place of professional medical attention. If you have any concerns in relation to your physical health, consult your doctor.

Foot Massage

Like with other forms of massage, the feet are a specalist area and so foot massage is offered separately. It is an ideal way to relax and aid in blood circulation. Although it involves only one part of the body, it is still very comprehensive and you get a full hour of treatment. You can also have both a full massage and the foot treatment together at a reduced price (see Prices for details).

Herbal Oil Massage

Although Thai oil massage doesn't have the same therapeutic advantages as the traditional massage, it is very soothing and relaxing and, unlike the traditional massage, does not involve any pain. As its name would suggest, it involves the rubbing of oil into the skin. Specalist Thai fragrant oils are used for maximum effect, providing both mental and physical relaxation. Like both the other forms of Thai massage it is a very good way to relieve stress, helping you take a more relaxed approach to life and those around you.

Thai oil massage offers all the benefits of 'Swedish' massage and more, so whilst Swedish massage is not specified as a service, our oil massage offers all the same benefits, and more besides thanks to our traditional Thai oils and surroundings.
